Indian Stripe tomato
Hi Remy!
I purchased from your site for the first time this past spring and grew most what I bought so I just thought you'd like to hear how the varieties did in SE Louisiana climate.
Really well - SunGold, Sweet Million, S. spontaneum - tons of toms
Ok - Stump of the World (about 10 tomatoes from 2 plants - tasted good though!)
No fruits from the cucamelons and the beit alpha cucumber. Maybe I just can't grow cucumbers
Still going - Trinidad Scorpion and Ping Tung Long - slowly starting to form fruits.

Hope you are staying safe and healthy and I look forward to ordering from you again in the future!

I loved your packaging- very down home. One thing- looked for the seed info again for some of the beans that were new to me and saw that many of the varieties are missing (presume they are out of stock). I know I could Google around, but it would have been nice to have info in one place. Next time will print out when I order.

Hi Abby,
I'm sorry about having to turn off the pages so you and others can't see the info. i've had a few people email me. I've never had to do that before, but this coronavirus made everyone buy seeds like the TP rush. I unfortunately can't leave the pages up and say, "don't order," because people will order. Removing all the Add to Cart buttons isn't feasible either, because it would hours and hours to add them all back to the site.

Hi, I'm sorry you got the wrong impression about the site. The seeds are not free. Sample means sample sized smaller packets for the home garden (though some packets do contain a lot of seeds.) The seeds are inexpensive though as they come in simple packets, not fancy ones.

You already have great variety, can’t think of anything
Thank you so much for the order! We really appreciate it, especially during the pandemic. The kids are especially excited about growing tomatillos, and I’m looking forward especially to the delicious tomato varieties and the watercress, chervil and New Zealand spinach. A lot of these things will go in pots. Almost everything we grow is from your seeds. Our favorite new thing this year so far is the turnip greens which are delicious and prolific. We tried peppadew peppers for the first time last year, and they overwintered inside just fine. They are big and leafing out with new growth now (zone 7a). We also planted new peppadew seeds to be on the safe side. Those little peppadews are delicious pickled, just like I was hoping. Just a couple examples of the fun plants we get to grow from your seeds! We really appreciate everything you do! Thanks again!

Thanks so much for the comment, Gina! I'm glad you are trying all kinds of new and interesting things. These are the things that the kids will remember when they are grown

I need plantinng info for field of sunflowers for hospice. How tall? Etc
Replied on: 3:33pm 05-01-2020

They are in the 5-6' tall range. Like all sunflowers, they should be started when the weather is consistently nice above 50 at night so the soil is warm during the day. You can direct sow or start in pots outside. I like to do the pots and transplant. I have better luck that way, but everyone is different.

Hi Remy! Just got our order 2 weeks ago, THANKS SO MUCH!!! With our short growing season up north here, getting seed from you every year is a MUST - we rely on it for great germination and strong healthy plants! Thanks for always coming through for us, couldn't imagine what our greenhouses, veg gardens, orchards and cutting gardens would be like without you. Best wishes, hope you and yours are staying well!!!

Hi Remy...I was thinking about placing a small seed order with you and I know you are probably inundated with orders now, so it's not necessary to fill mine right away. Hope all is well and you are not too overwhelmed.

Replied on: 11:01am 02-08-2020

Hi Nancy,
You were on the Tomato Variety Reference Page
"This page is of pictures and descriptions of tomatoes for sale at one time here. Some may be grown again and others not."
So the page is not a sale page. Sorry for the confusion,
Remy

Perennials and anaul flower seeds
I was wondering if u had a catalog and can order via catalog and check
Replied on: 5:49pm 01-28-2020

I'm sorry there is no paper catalog for a coupe reasons. One, it is costly and would make the price of everything raise dramatically, and two, items change too much throughout the year to have a complete catalog at any point. I do understand about begin able to leisurely peruse a paper catalog and how enjoyable that can be.

I just wanted to leave a review. I didn't know where to do so exactly. I was also hesitant because Remy sent me bonuses, probably because of the fact that one item was out of stock. Not only did she send me items along the lines of what I already ordered, dwarf tomatoes, but she sent me more than enough to make up for the delay on the one seed packet when I wasn't even ready to start them for another month. Her prices are the best I've found for small starter packs of things that I want to try, heirloom, etc., that I can't find elsewhere for less than $3 per small pack or even more.

She's been a long-standing friend through a gardening forum that I've never met in person, but when my daughter passed, she even sent me a surprise packet of a seed she hardly had much of for a trial with, with the same name as my daughter who had just passed a few months before, just out of the kindness of her heart! She is an amazing gardener and cook. I'm honored to get as many seeds as I can through her! If I need anything special to grow, I always check www.sampleseeds.com first!

Remy, feel free to use my review on any site that you'd like, edited or whole. It's fully raw and totally real, as honesty is super important to me. Real reviews, not paid or given as a result of a discount or free product, etc., aren't the same. I believe in good people working hard and providing great products and services. I did order a lot this time, but I don't think she treated me special in any way. I hope you try out her seed stash for yourself! I love the details she gives on each product to help you decide, even if her personal experience wasn't positive. More people should do legit business like she does with honor and integrity! My germination rates are amongst the highest I've seen with any seed supplier as well! No complaints and I highly recommended her after more than one season of orders!
Replied on: 1:03pm 01-11-2020

Thank you so much Angela for taking the time to write all that. You are correct. I don't do anything extra because you are my friend when you order. I treat my customers as if they are all my friends. Yes, I of course want to make money, but I want people to garden and be happy! Thanks again.

Tecoma capensis (Red Cape Honeysuckle)
Love the fact I don't have to buy 100 seeds at a time. I am looking for Tecoma capensis (Red Cape Honeysuckle) seeds and I see they are out of stock. Can I preorder them? Or do you think you know when they will be back in stock?
Replied on: 12:33pm 01-04-2020

Hi Ilena, When I go to Key Largo in late March, we shall see. Last year, everything was still a mess from the hurricane and there were no seeds to be found. Hopefully I will be successful!
